New improved protein blend
Reflex Nutrition's new proprietary protein blend is a carefully chosen blend of cold processed, ultra filtered undenatured Micellar Casein, undenatured Egg White protein, undenatured Whey Protein and Digezyme enzymes. Reflex Nutrition's Micellar Casein is made with minimal processing. In fact, it's probably the least processed of all dairy proteins. Skimmed milk is ultra filtered to remove virtually all fat and lactose, the protein that remains is pure native milk protein containing undenatured micellar casein and a small percentage of native whey peptides. Egg white protein has long been a staple protein source for athletes and bodybuilders due to their excellent amino acid profile and their high biological value. Reflex Nutrition only use undenatured egg whites which are derived from the freshest eggs and tested to be free from salmonella. Egg white isolate is preferable to whole egg as it contains virtually no fat or carbohydrate and it has a medium absorption rate. An organic whole grain source of carbohydrates
For years now most meal replacements have used maltodextrin as a carbohydrate source, in fact previous formulations of Progen used maltodextrin. However, it has two major drawbacks. Firstly it contains absolutely no fibre, and secondly it has a high glycemic index meaning that it raises blood sugar levels very quickly.
Progen is the first meal replacement of its type to contain an exclusive blend of organic barley and oats. This organic source of carbohydrate provides a low glycemic source of energy along with naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre. Magnesium Oxide and other metal oxides are unsuitable for the Reflex product range and are not used in Progen. Iron Oxide for example is rust. Took this with me on a recent trip to Rome. Did about 60 miles walking a day and found these great to refuel on when between lunch and dinner.
These things will keep you FULL for a good couple of hours, they don\'t cause bloating and make you feel energised. Now back from Rome, i\'m using the remaining sachets as pre gym meals and they have been great!
I bought the chocolate flavour (which isn\'t the best tasting thing, but you\'ll get used to it on your 3rd pack). I would recommend addming more than the 400ml of water they recommend.
Loads of great extra added supplements that they didn\'t have to (selenium, flax concentrate, probiotics).

Yeah, i think this is a nice product and have had it in Banana and raspberry and they are both great. Good for during day or last thing at night because of the slow release proteins !!

Great, post workout or just for saving time or that missed meal you never planned for! I tried this in banana and it made a pleasent change and mixed so easy. If you want a meal replacement on a budget then this is the daddy!!! i love this stuff and i seem to hold my pump for hours if taken as post workout. For 21pounds its 'sale of the century'

This is a great tasting shake, I stick it in the blender with some added fruit and it comes out so thick its amazing. Can never drink it all as it fills me up loads.
Very handy sachets to take out and about, better than calling into the petrol station for a pie or sandwich!

I have used this meal replacement for over 2 years now. The combination of the carbs and protein are excellent and really help maintain muscle mass whilst keeping away from preservatives, hydrogenated fats and E numbers. I am a rep and spend a great deal of time on the road this really helps as part of my weight management.
