Reflex Nutrition's Micellar Casein provides a lengthy release of amino acids because of its unique digestibility. It forms a gel in the stomach, slowing the transit time in the digestive system thus slowing the digestion of the protein. This makes it ideal when a slow and lengthy supply of protein is needed. The micellar casein offered by Reflex Nutrition is manufactured by ultra filtration of skimmed milk - this process removes excess lactose and fat. The resulting raw material is about 85% protein.
In a ground breaking study, carried out by Dr Yves Boire, the differences in metabolic responses of whey protein and casein were individually observed over a 7 hour period in 16 young & healthy volunteers. Have used this product for a number of years, it is a great support supplement for times when you cant eat for a few hours plus. Magic before bed to keep feeding the muscle tissue all those important amino's!

Excellent Casein powder. I have had both the Strawberry and Chocolate now. The Chocolate is by far the best flavour. Slighty chalky but this is to be expected because the protien isn\'t water soluble, although this can be elimated if you make it with milk.

I mix this with skimmed milk and down before getting some shut eye (its not to my taste mixed with water I have to say). Very frothy and has a kind of malty quality to it. Plesant enough though.

Good Product. Very Good Results. Vanilla tastes awful. Personally I prefer Optimum Nutritions Casein. Very Similar results, Great Taste and cheaper per serving.
